Don't you worry what the bitter hearts have got to say
After slightly more than a week of staying home and many packets of horrible tasting chinese medicine, I am finally COMPLETELY WELL! Feels good to be going out of the house, even if it is to go to work. Anything's better than house arrest, I can only spend so many hours in bed each day.. I'm not going back to my hardcore training schedule yet though because according to my mum my body is not yet fully recovered. Oh well. Work has been interesting to say the least. 74 cartons of shoes were delivered today. Not scary enough? That's like 900 pairs of shoes. Now are you scared? It was no easy task opening the cartons, moving the shoes, finding space for them and packing them away.. Very very tiring job honestly. I've been getting the funniest customers recently. Today a lady came in, walked right past our big orange sales sign at the entrance, spent 10 minutes browsing through our sales items and then came to ask me if we had any sales going on. Uh, yes madam we do. Yesterday a customer picked up a clutch that was about the size of an A5 paper, maybe smaller and asked my colleague if she can fit an umbrella into it. Uh, no madam. What kind of umbrella does she use?! A tiny minuscule one from Japan that's like 2D or something? Or maybe it's one of those paper umbrella thingys that you always find in cocktail drinks or on birthday cakes.. These are the sort of customers that give us a good laugh. The customer's attitude is so important. There are customers who make or break your day. Some can be so easy to serve while others can be a complete nightmare. So remember if you want good service, don't go into a shop with a look on your face as if everyone there owes you money. It's not going to have pleasant results. If you want to be served nicely, remember your own manners and basic courtesy rules!
